After a swift eight-hour drive, I've arrived in the south of Marseille bébé. On this side of France, Txitxu adopts its original spelling, Tchitchou. In the South, a 'tchitchou' refers to an unidentified object, that thing you can't quite remember the real name of. In English, ChatGPT told me that 'thingy', 'whatchamacallit', or 'doodad' would be the closest equivalents (I might even consider renaming Txitxu to 'Whatchamacallit' if I ever find myself in the US and also if I manage to pronounce it).
Anyway! The waves here are making quite a splash, surpassing those in Biarritz, with the most huge sets reaching a outstanding 13cm. No joke!
I'll be soaking up the Mediterranean sun for a while, and I just might find a window to give you a glimpse of Mediterranean surfing towards the end of next week. The forecast seems to favor my plans, showing more swell in the southeast than in the southwest.
Stay strong amigoas,
TT
